Blast from the Past
A 30-year-old photo of Airfloat founder David Snoeyenbos recently appeared in the “history corner” the Decatur Herald & Review. The photo depicts Mr. Snoeyenbos floating a 1-ton concrete block on an air platform. As the caption notes, Airfloat equipment has been used by America’s space shuttle program, Walt Disney World’s Epcot Center, defense contractors and “various companies looking for an easier way to move heavy objects.”
