Airfloat’s Need for Speed
Airfloat has recently entered a new arena of high performance movement: automobile racing. Airfloat is the proud sponsor of the new number 5 car from Stoecker Team Racing.
The Airfloat car is an E36 BMW M3. It boasts the infamous E46 3.2 liter M Power S54 engine that provides a base of 333 horsepower. This engine is most notable for having the second highest torque/liter ratio, coming in just short of the Ferrari 458 Italia. It gains even more power thanks to the 3.5” BimmerWorld cold air intake, TMS Conforti software chip, and a 3” exhaust with MagnaFlow muffler. The car also features a racing suspension by K-Sport, as well as an eight-piston K-Sport Big Brake Kit.
The body features a Max Velocity front splitter; carbon fiber trunk, hood and spoiler; and is painted in the Airfloat gray-and-red scheme with a matte finish. The interior is fully stripped and equipped with Sparco steering wheel and seats, a custom roll cage and fire suppression system. The car rolls on 17” Kosei K1 rims wrapped in Nitto Nt-01 tires.
Outside of racing, the car is also a great promotional tool. As Airfloat Marketing Manager Gary Mollohan explains:
“The car is a great way to promote Airfloat because it embodies the power, performance and design excellence of our products. It’s also a good conversation starter; racing fans are generally gearheads who like to know how things work. When they see the Airfloat name and logo, they usually have lots of questions. This provides an excellent opportunity to explain air bearing technology and its applications.”
