Air bearings move heavy industrial loads with our airfloat systems. Airfloat has been designing airbearing technology for material handling for over 40 years. Air bearings or air casters work on the principle of using compressed air to glide industrial equipment over a cushion of air, providing a cost-effective alternative to overhead cranes.
Airfloat systems & products range from air bearing airskids (air skates, air casters) to fully-automated conveyor systems and moving assembly lines.
As air film solutions became popular as transporter platforms and heavy-duty rigging casters, the technology was soon extended into air bearing industrial turntables, including robotic turntables, mechanical turntables and rack-handling systems made with air bearings.
